Motherboards with Intel Ethernet Controllers
If your MAC address is not showing up correctly, please follow the steps below:
1. You will need to create a DOS bootable USB flash drive.Please use this FAQ to create a USB DOS bootable drive.https://service.msicomputer.com/msi_user/support/TechFAQdetail.aspx?formid=3533
2. After your DOS bootable drive has been created. Copy Eeupdate.exe to your flash drive.
3. Locate the 12-character MAC address for your motherboard. This can be found on a sticker on top of the LAN port. Write this down.
4. Set your flash drive as the first boot device or press F11 during bootup to manually boot from it.
5. At the command prompt, type: "eeupdate /nic=1 /mac=xxxxxxxxxxxx"
Note: xxxxxxxxxxxx = the MAC address you wrote down earlier.
6. You should see the following screen. The MAC address has been successfully updated.
7. To verify that the MAC address has been updated, type: "eeupdate /nic=1 /mac_dump"
